Every town in New Hampshire has its own ghost stories—but Glenbrook's ghost is real. And he's out of control. When the head of Glenbrook's psychotherapy practice skips town without warning, his young employee Ricky is left not only running the practice, but unwittingly taking on a very special client: the ghost. The more she talks to him, the closer she gets to her own past—one that still won't let her go. Her parents died in a car accident, caused by a motorcyclist she's still searching for. Unsurprisingly, she finds it hard to convince the ghost to let his own past rest, so he can finally be free. In her search for the ghost's true identity, she meets the attractive ex-FBI agent Rey, who shares a history with the ghost. The deeper the two of them dig, the more secrets come to light — secrets Ricky would rather not have uncovered.
