Kinetic Study on Chemical Oxygen Demand Removal

Textile Industrial Wastewater is characterized by intense color having high concentration of Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD). Since the discharge of such a wastewater to the lakes or rivers without treatment adversely affects our environment,the effective treatment methods are essential. The simple and efficient treatment process,the cost of treatment system and the choice of good combination of chemicals play an important role. This book provides the knowledge to choose the suitable treatment method, the right choice of chemicals and dosages of chemicals to be cost-effective. Moreover this research project gives the appropriate idea for the design of settling tank and the implementation of the treatment system. This work is done for the industrial sector as well as the educational sector. Protection of the bodies of water is crucial for a clean and green planet.
