iPorn

Porn is everywhere. Our relationship with it is not. After two decades of personal experience with porn, Justin Erimodafe investigates his relationship with pleasure through experience, observation, intuition and recommendation. iPorn is not an argument for or against porn, nor a scientific study of its effects. It is a personal meditation on pleasure, desire, moral conviction, shame, coping and behavior. What if a moral conviction can be sound while the strategy used to live according to it is not? What if an attempt to overcome unwanted behavior can actually reinforce it? And what if the most effective response is sometimes to stop fighting the problem directly? Erimodafe does not offer a universal solution. Instead, he invites the reader to investigate what is often concealed, separate ideals from strategies, and approach pleasure with greater openness and complexity.
