Improving Teaching and Learning Through Disruptive Thinking

Engaging and paradigm shifting in approach, this book argues that disruptive thinking can improve teaching and learning by using easy, doable, practical, hands-on novel strategies. Yoüll begin with an unusual, unpopular thought that will cause people to be uncomfortable, backpedal and forget about unpopularity. Each section of this book begins with a carefully selected relevant quotation (often a one liner) from the public domain that is meant to leave you stunned; provide food for thought; and better facilitate internalising the disruptive ideas presented in that particular section. For confidentiality and anonymity, pseudonyms are used to detail students¿ personal experiences with disruptive thinking. Throughout the book, the masqueline gender is conveniently used for both males and females. The text is intentionally interspaced with relevant shareware graphics (exhibits) from the public domain, operating under the Creative Commons Copyright licenses that serve as stimulants for disruption, innovation, engagement and personal pleasure.
