Improving Performance of Store Management

The researcher assumed that store management of DESCO has no specific long term vision and goals and existing performance is not satisfactory. The objectives of the study were achieved through three approaches; namely valid questionnaire, examine store management and key informant interview of DESCO officials. The study recommends a number of possible ways in some specific areas like organization and management, personnel management, store management strategy, stock rotation and control, safety measures, security, warehouse premises, material handling equipment, dispatch, ICT, disposal of goods, inspection etc. Should DESCO Management successfully implement the recommendations mentioned in this study, store management performance of DESCO would improve significantly.
