Impact of REFLECT Approach to Empower the Beneficiaries

To get poverty and hunger free Bangladesh we earned our freedom on 1971 through the glorious and blood-striking liberation war. It was expected that the poor and oppressed people would regain their proper right and would be able to leave a life with honor. But the expectations were failed to be fulfilled because of various social, economic and political tensions. For this reason the issue of their achievement comes far away later. Thus people get deprived from their rights. Here comes the significance of the study of REFLECT which main objective is to empower the impoverished and marginalized people. This empowerment needs to be follow by some steps, such as diagnosing problems, defining their connotations and characters, find out the possible solutions and finally solving it. REFLECT is an innovative approach as it founds the foundation of empowerment in people. Here education also plays a crucial role. But that¿s not the traditional type of education through which the change can come. Reflective education begins working by selecting problems. So, it is seen practically that reflection is needed for the proper empowerment of impoverished population.
