Anti-Communist literature is the most representative literary genre in Taiwan in the 1950s. Most anti-Communist literature was written by mainland authors who followed Chiang Kai-shek to Taiwan after losing the mainland. Their works reflected the political ideology of the Chinese Nationalist Party and a sense of anti-Communism, patriotism, and nostalgia. This book reexamines anti-Communist literature on the whole and the development of literary system in 1950s Taiwan.
