Hunting

A composition compressed in a book for readers who like slow, descriptive reading. This tale of fiction, based on happenings moulded to make interesting reading, took place around the 1970s, a couple of years since Tiger Hunting was banned and pronounced illegal by the Indian authorities. A renowned Hunter in his time, Shikari Joe, together with his hunting buddies - Barney, Victor and Jess implored by tribal villagers to hunt down a tiger who was becoming a menace and dangerous threat to their village in the Londa jungles of India. This hunt done they return to their hometown only to find the Mysore Maharajäs cousin waiting to take them to Mysore as the distinguished guests to the Maharajäs palace where a batch of four youth anxiously awaited. These four ¿guests¿ were eager to be taken on a tiger hunt, wanting to witness live the thrills and chills of encountering a man-eating tiger in the jungles of Mysore. Moreover one of the four had a jungle phobia which she intended to overcome and hence took the plunge. Joe was called upon by the Maharaja of Mysore frequently to accompany him to tiger hunts; from back in the day when tiger hunting was legal and permitted.
