The collapse of the Eastern Bloc, a political and economic union of "people's democracy" countries at the end of the 20th century changed the geopolitical situation in the world. The confrontation between the two systems was replaced by a unipolar system of domination of the United States of America, connected with the policy of subordination of all countries of the world. The United States is established in the modern political environment as the only superpower. At the beginning of the 21st century, the United States of America dominates the world. Its foreign policy vector is aimed at subordinating the world's states to the American dictate. This is manifested in the economic, political and cultural pressure of the United States. Most of the modern countries of the world that formally achieved state independence in the 20th century have fallen into another, no less (if not more) strong dependence, it is economic subordination. Many former colonies - de jure independent countries - are now de facto semi-colonies. Most countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the CIS remain in the orbit of global economic influence, playing the role of raw materials appendages. In turn, the world economy is focused on serving the interests of the "golden billion".
