In the monograph the physical basis and technology of the process of high-temperature nitrocement in the electrostatic field (EP) are considered. It is shown that the use of ES allows not only to intensify the process of nitrocement of low-carbon steel in 1.5-2 times, but also to obtain in the surface layer of steel a higher quality diffusion layer, which has a high hardness, wear resistance and other high physical and mechanical and operational characteristics. Theoretical calculations and comparative studies of diffusion layers structure and phase composition prove and explain the efficiency of high-temperature nitrocement in EP.
