Harappan civilization

This book ¿Harappan Civilization New Discoveries¿ includes introduction. Nomenclatures, discoveries, stories of excavations, migration, Art, minor arts and crafts, Harappan society, religion, trade transport and the decline of Harappan. Harappan civilization covers 2.6 million sq. km. in area. The newly excavated sites of Harappan civilization are: Baror, Juni Kuran, Khirasara, Khanmer, Bhirrana, Khanak, Farmana, Mandi, Harinagar, Tarkanwala Dera, Chandayan and Sanauli. The Harappans used steatite, Lapis-Lazuli, clay, Faience, ivory, gold, silver and carnelian for their craft and jewellery items. First excavation at Kalibangan was done in 1917-18 by L.P. Tessitori. Now we are dating mature Harappan civilization between 3000-2000 B.C. Till today we have discovered 4002 sites and done excavation on 252 sites Rakhigarhi is largest site which covers 580 hectare area. Copper wheels with Six and Eight spokes were discovered. One silver ring with multiple swastic and copper tablet depicting pasupati are unique finds from Mohenjodaro.
