HAP ON 316L SS BY DIP COATING METHOD

Considering that the majority of the methods require sophisticated apparatus, the sol-gel dip-coating technique is a relatively low cost method. Besides, this method presents other advantages, such as low synthesis temperature, a high control of composition, microstructure and thickness of obtained films. Thus coating application by sol¿gel technique is a promising alternative due to its properties and tailoring possibilities development of bioactive coating on stainless steel materials and this coating can be used for several biomedical applications. Successful development of hydroxyapatite coating over 316L SS by dip-coating.The coating developed by this method was found to be uniform over the surface and also displayed enhanced bioresistivity.
