Guideline to develop teaching and research materials

The importance to prepare ¿Guideline to Develop Teaching and Research Materials in Higher Learning Institutes¿ came to my mind few years back when I was working in Dilla University as instructor and faculty dean. At those times, I have seen serious deficiencies in almost all the instructors working in my faculty to prepare sound teaching (course syllabus, modules ¿) and research (proposals and manuscripts for publications ...) materials. I got the chance to take teaching methodology, pedagogy and philosophy in my PhD classes and I decided gather information relevant to come up with helpful the guideline development. I have tried to consult several relevant materials to my guideline from old and recent sources. The guideline will serve as a basic material for university instructors to prepare sound teaching and research materials. On the other hand since university teachers are expected to conduct research in their field of specialization to solve societal problems the guideline can help them to prepare winning proposal and publishable articles in reputable journals.
