This book with the topic, Formulation of Glazes using Cowpea and Bambara nut Stalk ashes is the result of an extensive research which focuses on the use of the ashes used simultaneously in the formulation of stoneware ceramic glazes. The Glazes after formulation were fired to a temperature of 1260oC in a Kerosene fired kiln. After the initial test firing was successful, the glazes were then experimented on standing thrown wares, to test the effect of gravity on the glazes. The results were the same with the initial test-fired pieces. Property tests were then conducted on the glazes such as crazing, imperviousness and external morphology.
