The goal of this book was to develop and test microemulsion devices for clotrimazole topical administration (CTM). To choose the oil phase of the microemulsion systems, the solubility of CTM in different oils was evaluated. To determine the region of microemulsion existence, pseudo ternary phase diagrams were created. Thermodynamic stability, pH, refractive index, droplet size, viscosity, and other properties were in vitro release over cellulose membrane were investigated for five CTM microemulsion formulations.
