Forever, Marie

In the summer of 2008, life changes dramatically for the author and her family: her little daughter Marie dies of an enigmatic nervous disease after several months of suffering. A stroke of fate, considered one of the worst, shatters Marlene's life - only to gradually put it back together in a new way. The author tells of the firm hope for healing, the difficult acceptance of the inevitable and the ultimate transformation of her experiences into new life force. A journey that begins so hopefully and then, after many hard defeats and a gruelling day in hospital, ends in a hospice for children and young people who are dying. In the end it becomes a new beginning: a spiritual experience that goes beyond death and opens the eyes to what is truly life.
