Sexual violence against the elderly is part of elder abuse, which can take many forms. It is considered to be an invisible form of violence that exists in our societies, but is still underestimated. The United Nations and a number of authors believe that such violence will increase as life expectancy rises in the general population, and is therefore a public health problem. There are still few studies in international scientific literature. We were unable to find any French studies on the subject. The work presented here, although involving fewer than 100 people examined over a 13-year period, is a step towards a better understanding of these situations.
