Financial integration and economic growth

This book offers an economic reading of the effects of financial integration on economic growth and its implications in the different stages of development. In order to deal with this subject in depth, it has been organized into three chapters: the first chapter presents the theoretical concept of the financial system, financial liberalization and economic growth, and thus identifies the relationship between financial development and economic growth through several theoretical channels. The second chapter illustrates the process of financial integration from a historical point of view, and presents the theoretical framework of this process. Finally, the third chapter studies the potential benefits and dangers of financial integration and their impact on economic growth.
