The population for the study was farmers and key informants from organizations offering crop insurance. Stratified sampling technique was used to sample the respondents. STATA package was used to analyse quantitative data. Logit regression model was used in the study to analyse socio-economic factors such as the type of farming practiced, Education of farmers and income generated from farming if they positively influences the adoption of Crop Insurance. The study finally recommends that another study to be done on the benefits of use of crop insurance to farmers which was not the focus of this study.
