Evaluation of different binary vectors for cotton transformation

Agriculture segment continues to play an essential role in Pakistan¿s financial system. During the current years, the overall performance of agriculture sector has been weaker than targeted production.Transgenic technology has been utilized across the word to integrate mostly single gene based traits in many useful crops to overcome this problem. Plant transformation is a critical approach in the development of transgenic plants. Binary vectors are the major source for Agrobacterium mediated transformation mostly in dicot plants. Selection of binary vector depends on vector backbone, appropriate binary vector selection can lead to better transgenic plant production. This Book provides the way for selection of binary vectors on the basis of their backbone and genes, to produce transgenic plants.
