Error Compensation Technique For Smart Industrial Metering System

All utilities have responsibility to provide uninterrupted power supply to all consumers and to recover the bill amount for survival of the utility. In all utility, Industrial consumers supplying the power on high voltage level. For the metering of the same, instrument transformers are used in coordination with the energy meter to record the consumption of that consumer. These instrument transformers and energy meter have inherent errors, due to which no any metering system record the accurate energy consumption. For correct recording of the energy consumption, compensation to the errors is necessary. This book have illustrated different methods of error compensation for industrial metering system. This results in correct recording of the energy consumption. The conversion of any class of metering system to desired class of metering system can be possible with these techniques. this will help to enhance the revenue of the either utility or consumers depending upon the sign of the errors of the metering system.
