Efficiency: The Concept, Form and Measurement

This paper explains the practice of efficiency. Widely used to express that anything should be done economically, efficiency is conceptualized in the economics perspective. In addition, initiated by large firms, some organizational forms are developed in order to gain efficiency. Furthermore, efficiency is measured and mathematical expression is formulated. This paper explains three important things of the efficiency:The concept, the organizational form and the measurement of efficiency. The concept of efficiency explains that the concept conical to the economics meaning. The organizational form explains Total Quality Management (TQM) and its variants, Activity-Based Costing (ABC) and Balanced Scorecard (BSC) systems to form an efficient organization. The measurement explains techniques to calculate efficiency.
