Efficiency of breeding by using boll attraction

The monograph summarizes the results of research on the influence of photosynthetic test characters and analysis of boll attraction ability on cotton productivity. For the first time screening of genotypes characterized by high yield, high fiber yield and its technological qualities was carried out in comparison with previously released cultivars in the republic.The principles, methods and peculiarities of breeding based on the use of photosynthetic test characters and selections for high values of boll attraction, aimed at increasing plant productivity and creating new high-yielding cotton varieties with increased fiber yield and good quality are shown. For researchers, teachers and students of agrarian universities, specialists of agricultural enterprises of various forms of ownership.
