Migration and education have a complex and multidimensional relationship with each other. The former (migration) can have consequences for a country's education system, since this system must take into account the different situations of people: those who stay, or those who migrate. People on the move usually speak a different language from the language of instruction in the host country. The second (education), in turn, can have an impact on migration, since education can be a trigger for decisive migration, especially in middle- and low-income countries, and, on the other hand, it is a strategic policy for (i) promoting a supportive and inclusive society; (ii) acting on prejudices, stereotypes and discrimination; and (iii) enhancing people's skills (either for natives, or for immigrants or refugees).To understand this complex and multidimensional relationship, it is necessary to explain and place it in its global/global and region/country specific political, economic, social, cultural and environmental structure [...]
