Education for Sustainable Development: Training ESD Conscious Teacher

The need to have graduates with proper knowledge on Education for Sustainable Development cannot be underestimated. The teacher has been identified as the key player to realize sustainable future. This then underscores the importance of producing Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) conscious generation of teachers by the Teacher training institutions. The book is on the research study on awareness about Education for Sustainable Development at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa-the regional leading school of Education in Eastern Africa that is based in Nairobi Kenya. The findings established partial knowledge about Education for Sustainable Development. The author recommends the need to mainstream ESD in the teacher training curriculum to produce graduates who are knowledgeable in ESD who will consequently educate for sustainable development.
