Ecology of Intertidal area in and around South Mumbai

Ecology, the pioneering subject concerned with the environment of the planet. The coastal zone has long been the subject of fascination and study which represents interface in between the atmosphere, land and water has long been a source of intrigue and research. An ecosystem known as the Intertidal zone is found on Coastal shorelines, where a wide variety of shore-dwelling organisms adapt to variations in high and low tides. The ecology of selected areas of south Mumbai's Intertidal zones is the subject of the book. Mumbai, one of India's most cosmopolitan cities, is situated on the country's west coast. Mumbai coastal waters receive massive quantities of treated and untreated waste waters resulting in coastal pollution. The biodiversity of the coastal waters is at risk because of this pollution. Numerous papers that have been released show that Mumbai's seashore is losing biodiversity. The data on intertidal diversity, which was investigated for two years at specific sites in south Mumbai, is presented in the book. The book's contents will help with Mumbai's coastal water management.
