E-readiness for E-government in Sudan

This book is aimed to assess the effect of cultural factors in readiness of the e-government in Sudan as an example for developing countries. Four cultural factors are chosen and are studied as effective parameters on readiness of the e-government; age, gender, education levels and monthly income level, these factors are analyzed according to both sides of process; citizens and employees. This book also addresses impact of the e-government on transaction from many aspects. This study is a survey research. From collected data numbers of results have been noticed; one of the most noticeable point where the four cultural factors which have impact on readiness of the e-government: age, gender, education levels and monthly income level. In terms of age the result shows that most of the people above 50 years old have less readiness to deal with e-government. Gender wise, older women have more difficulties in dealing with e-services. People with low monthly income levels and uneducated people or those with a low level of education have less readiness to deal with e-government.
