The present study proposes to integrate the Physiotherapy assessment through muscle strength tests in patients still under mechanical ventilation and the assessment of the presence of dysphagia, carried out by Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, in order to verify possible associations that corroborate with integrated practices and that help the guide the assistance performance of both sciences. Thus, we may be collaborating with the early diagnosis and treatment of dysphagia, reducing the length of hospital stay, reducing readmission rates, mortality and improving the quality of life of patients.
