Dynamics of changes in sows with different stress sensitivities

In the book, for the first time, using the turpentine method for determining stress sensitivity, based on the peculiarities of the manifestation of the local adaptation syndrome, a comparative characteristic of changes in the body of energy-plastic substances and the productivity of sows with different stress sensitivity in connection with their age under conditions of intensive use is given. Reproductive function in stress-resistant sows with age under conditions of intensive use increases up to the third farrowing inclusive. During the first three reproductive cycles, it increases by 2.4-22.4%. From the fourth farrowing, productivity decreases and reaches its lowest values ¿¿during the sixth cycle. In stress-sensitive sows, reproductive performance is lower than in stress-resistant sows. During the first three reproductive cycles, they increase less by 2.5-23.7%. From the fourth reproductive cycle, the level of productivity in stress-sensitive and stress-resistant queens becomes equal, as a result of a more intense decrease in the values ¿¿of the determined indicators in resistant animals. After the sixth farrowing in stress-resistant uterus, they were lower than in stress-sensitive uterus.
