Recently, Logistics Sector is one of the growing sectors both in the world and in Türkiye. After containerization and globalization processes, export and import cargo volume in shipping industry show a significant growth. This volume increase causes bottlenecks in the ports. Izmir Port is one of the ports that has port congestion problem due to its intensive cargo volume. Therefore in this book first logistics infrastructure of Izmir investigated. After that results of a questionnaire tested and proved that a ¿Dry Port¿ can eliminate the negative effect of port congestion and may increase foreign trade volume of Izmir.
