Digital Image Compression and Hierarchical Decomposition

Image Compression plays a very important role in all multimedia services by reducing the number of bytes or bandwidth required to store or transmit the data. A real time based approach for image compression have been developed with the help of hierarchical decomposition and prediction. Keeping in view, the need of hour, this book should help to understand the consequences of hierarchical decomposition and prediction on predicted and reconstructed images.
