The contemporary digital age is characterized by the significant informatization of society and the increasing role of network technologies, which raises the question of how to ensure the privacy of users and who takes care of the protection of their personal data in the global space. Answers to such questions is the task of this book. The features of informatization as a basis of information society and the role of information technology for the realization of social and business processes are discussed. Reliable data protection must be based on the principles of information security and compliance with the requirements of the legal framework in the field. The book discusses the structural and technological organization of data protection on the basis of an adequate policy and strategy for meeting the requirements of the GDPR.
