Crisis-proof personnel management

The economic crisis triggered by the coronavirus pandemic has shown what impact such a situation has on companies and their employees. The occurrence of such an enormous change in the economic environment presents companies with challenges that are difficult to overcome. This can have consequences such as redundancies or short-time working. This book deals with the early recognition of an impending crisis situation and the appropriate strategic personnel management, which makes it possible to prepare the personnel apparatus for economic changes in the long term. A study was conducted to investigate the relationship between strategic HR management and the impact of the coronavirus crisis on employees. Using quantitative data collection via an online questionnaire, 250 employees with and without HR responsibility were asked about their impressions of the effects of the coronavirus pandemic and HR management in their company.
