Controlling bacterial wilt of banana and plantain (Musa sp)

Controlling the banana bacterial wilt (FBB) meets two of the missions assigned to the National Institute for the Study and Agronomic Research (INERA) by Law No. 78-002 of January 6, 1978 and attached by Ordinance Law No. 82-040 of November 3, 1982 to the Ministry managing scientific research. Its mission is to 'inform the government, public and private organizations interested in agriculture on the impact of research on agricultural production'. To achieve this, he provides information on the FBB, which is decimating banana plantations in five provinces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), thus increasing food insecurity for more than two million Congolese. It provides an introduction to the banana plant and its constraints by focusing on Xanthomonas campestris pv. Musacearum, modes and factors affecting its transmission, control methods, principles of its management and a conclusion.
