This book deals with issues related to technolect in the workplace. First, the nuance between technolect and related concepts is identified. Secondly, it discusses technolects as oral and written codes. This study found a disparity between the latter two. The former can be described as "ordinary" technolect and the latter as "learned". It should be noted that the degree of professionalism and charisma proved to be closely linked to the internalized technolect repertoire. The stratification method borrowed from Labov showed the existence of three strata using professional language, either through bilingualism, interference or codic alternation. French words are thus pronounced correctly, distorted or replaced by other terms from another language.
