Commercial bank capitalization: management and development strategy

The monograph examines the essence of the capital of a commercial bank and its place in ensuring the competitiveness of a commercial bank, the place of capitalization growth strategy in the process of strategic planning of a commercial bank. In addition, trends in concentration in the Russian banking system and their relationship with the process of capitalization of commercial banks, the problem of capitalization of Russian commercial banks as a process of increasing equity capital were identified. In the course of the study, a method was developed for assessing the equity capital of a commercial bank based on the market value of the banking business, as well as modeling a strategy for the growth of capitalization of a commercial bank based on an analysis of external and internal environmental factors. The approaches to the formation of a bank capitalization strategy proposed by the author of the study are of practical importance for banking structures aimed at developing and expanding the scale of their activities.
