This study explored the relationship between students and teachers and its impact on the students learning at primary level in the Union Council, Siakh, Mirpur, Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The study population comprised of 162 children (88 males and 74 females) aged ranging from 8-12 years, who were attending grades 4 and 5 in the primary schools within Union Council, Siakh, Mirpur, Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The respondents completed a battery of the assessments which measure language ability, verbal intelligence, student-parent attachment, student-teacher attachment and its impact on the academic performance. The findings indicated that the language ability of the children was an important predictor in all of the three academic areas. Age of the participants was also a significant predictor in relation to the math and reading performance. The verbal intelligence was also accounted for higher degree of variance regarding math and reading performance. The student-teacher relationship significantly influences all of the three academic performance areas. Findings of the study were reviewed in relation to the previous research, and the implications for future studies were discussed.
