Cardiovascular diseases in North Cameroonian hospitals

According to the World Health Organization, cardiovascular diseases will become in the near future one of the top public health priorities in Africa and elsewhere. Therefore, it places them at the top of the research priorities among non-communicable diseases. This prioritization represents a real challenge for all emerging countries. This challenge is all the more important because the epidemiological data on cardiovascular diseases are still very fragmented. In some geographical areas, such as the northern regions of Cameroon, work in this area is almost non-existent. This book examines the epidemiological profile of cardiovascular disease in the Ngaoundéré Regional Hospital in the Adamaoua region of Cameroon.
