Spinal cord stimulation has been used for a long time in the treatment of refractory neropathic pain. In visceral pain, it¿s use has been rare except for some case reports and series of cases. Tonic classic stimulation has been used with this purpose. New modalities of stimulation like Burst stimulation or high frequency stimulation has been employed in the last times. We analized in this book the use of Burst spinal cord stimulation in the treatment of chronic pain secondary to chronic pancreatitis and the mechanism of action at neuronal level.
