"Burnout Syndrome and Emotional Weariness in Chilean Teachers"

The achievement of emotional well-being, mental health and management of work stress is as relevant as the educational work of the teacher. So far we have developed the main concepts, ideas and models that explain Burnout Syndrome in teachers in Chile. At the same time, the concept has been developed in a context perspective, which allows us to know and understand better the scope of the Chilean Education System and how this gives a framework for the increase of this disorder and at the same time to be able to generate the spaces that are given for the prevention actions in order to act in a direct way in its progressive decrease.However, together with the progress of research which is very relevant, it is necessary to make effective and efficient proposals that allow a turnaround in the situation affecting teachers and thus be able to contribute in a constructive and positive way to the improvement of their mental health, their psychosocial well-being and their quality of life.We hope that this book will make a significant and concrete contribution to the mental health and well-being of all teachers and to the achievement of quality education!
