Between the State and Human Rights

Argentina's uniqueness lies in the strength of its human rights movements, radiating their expertise internationally and becoming a compass for the enforcement and deepening of rights worldwide. Throughout the text, one can clearly see the different approaches and points of view achieved through interviews conducted by the author, allowing the tensions between state and human rights to emerge. These women and men, protagonists of the history of human rights, expose the weaknesses and strengths that have strengthened democratisation in Argentina between 2003 and 2015. Based on the Argentinean example, they analyse the advances and democratic debts in the face of social complexities.
