The monograph of Professor A.I. Demchenko, Doctor of Arts, is entirely focused on the analysis of the content and semantic essence of the artistic heritage of the great composer. Accordingly, all the facts of his life description and consideration of the means of musical expression are subordinated to this. The core of the presentation is the basic essences of human existence in Beethoven's works (vital activity, lyricism, relaxation) and those things that determine the leading constants of Beethoven's worldview (heroics, drama and epic). The Prologue provides an excursion into the historical era, while the Epilogue provides an overview of the stylistic components and concluding generalizations. This publication is dedicated to the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth and is intended both for specialists and a wide range of music lovers.
