April Jones is the Executive Director of the Sankofa Achievement Center, Inc. Jones has a long history supporting both social and emotional well-being of children, teens and adults in the Nashville and Chicago area. Her work in the field of leadership and community partnerships makes her uniquely qualified to teach parents, educators, children and community stakeholders to overcome challenges facing urban and rural families. Jones's work in Family and Community Partnerships is part of the National Standard practices for local schools. Jones holds a Bachelors of Science from Chicago State University. She received her teaching certification from Trinity Christian College. Jones has a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, an Education Specialist in Administration and Supervision. She holds a Doctorate Degree in School Leadership from Tennessee State University.
