Augmented Reality as a pedagogical tool

Augmented reality technology has been introduced in recent years in multiple sectors of society, including education. The use of augmented reality in educational institutions is a topic of great importance and requires special interest from researchers. The results of the research presented have shown that there are two main methodological trends in science teaching using augmented reality, which are instruction through augmented books and discovery teaching, closely related to learning outside the classroom. It is also important to highlight that augmented reality applications used in these activities must take into consideration a series of pedagogical dimensions to achieve improved academic results, such as feedback, self-assessment or personalization of the learning experience.
