Assessing Organizational Crises

Revision with unchanged content. Organizations worldwide cannot escape crises. Crises effect more than produ­ctivity, they often profoundly impact people's lives. In an age of quanti­fication, measuring the extent to which humans are impacted during crises is paramount. This present study delivers an argument for brief and pragmatic organizational crisis assessment instruments. Furthermore, a specific instru­ment's (the TAS:O) psychometric properties are evaluated. The results indicate that pragmatic instruments evaluating the human impact of crises are pos­sible, and cutting edge research demonstrates that highly valid and reliable organizational assessment surveys are likely to be a staple of future organiza­tional crisis management.
