Artificial Reef

Artificial reefs can produce new fish biomass and attract existing biomass. It is a popular and accessible technology for modifying aquatic ecosystems. Deployment of artificial reef in coastal waters of all inhabited continents and around oceanic islands of the tropics has increased significantly in the past two decades. Management of Fishery sector has served as a center of attention and principle for much of the research regarding artificial reefs since they were seriously considered scientifically in the mid-1970s. Strengthen enthusiasm in artificial habitats comes from a diversity of commercial, conservation, recreational and management sectors. This book bestow an overview of Artificial Reef and importance of comparisons with artificial reef in the marine environment.
