ARM. Arm Rehabilitation Measurement. Manual for performance and scoring

The present book ‘ARM – Arm Rehabilitation Measurement’ written by Dr. Platz and co-authors gives an excellent overview and presents a very practical manual for three commonly used assessment tools: the Fugl-Meyer Test, the Action Research Arm Test (ARAT) and the Box and Block Test. First it characterizes the individual test, points out the theories and ideas behind, gives a concise description of the performance and of the test properties. Since detailed user manuals are not available for many motor assessment scores a very useful and detailed manual was developed for the three mentioned tests. The manual is a very suitable means to enable standardisation and to assure reliable and repeatable results in different institutions. The book is very well written and attractively illustrated.
