Commemorating the town's 200th birthday, Anson covers the history of a small but active and progressive community. Included in the collection are images of the great floods and disastrous fires encountered by the residents of Anson. A town that grew and flourished despite setbacks, Anson took advantage of its two rivers, the Carrabassett and the Kennebec. Also included are images of the town's growth from earlier days, when it was a part of Massachusetts, directly on the path of Arnold's march to Quebec.
