Anchor fastener as a means of maintaining mountain workings

Anchor fastener is one of the most progressive and economical types of fasteners for preparatory mine workings. It allows you to mechanize the construction of fasteners and significantly reduce the total cost of conducting and maintaining mine workings. This publication presents the main types of existing anchor fastener structures, considers the physical aspects of interaction between certain types of anchors and the rocks of the mine workings roof, and analyzes the existing ideas about the mechanism of interaction between anchor fasteners and the rocks of the mine workings roof. The conducted research on anchor fastening technology made it possible to develop a method for calculating anchor fastening parameters and designing passports for mine workings anchorage, which was part of the "Temporary instruction on calculation and application of anchor fasteners in mines of the Karaganda basin" developed with the participation of the authors.
