Analytical and Comparative Study

Due to the importance of oil which is a vital resource, oil contracts are also of special importance, the fact that most oil contracts have an international aspect, so these contracts have been subject to changes and transformations, especially with regard to political and economic developments in the world. Each of the specific aspects is important and study, from the study of the earliest oil contracts signed under the title of "Concession" with oil-owning governments to the common contracts of today, which can determine the different angles of these contracts, can be seen in a general view. All of Iran's international oil contracts are divided into two main categories. The first category is known as the "Production Sharing" contracts which were concluded before the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran and the other category is the contracts which were concluded after the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the formation of the ministry of oil and in order to maintain and develop and the exploitation of oil and gas reserves has been concluded that oil and gas contracts have mainly been in the form of contracts for the purchase of contracting services.
